About The Duke Pub

The Duke is named after one of the greatest political and military leaders of the 19th Century. Born May, 1769, Arther Wellesley,1st. He died September, 1852. His greatest victory was against Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo. His quote ’The Battle of Waterloo was won on the playing fields of Eton.’

Our pub is a reflection of a London City Pub, elegant, rich in paneling and color but yet comfy and relaxed. As we say in DRG ’Snugness not smugness’. The decorations were shipped from England and are all authentic pieces on the shelves and walls. The stained glass dome has been in Dunwoody for many years as it was in Chequers Seafood Grill at the Perimeter for 32 years.
